Our company, Urgent Passport Services (www.urgentpassport.com), expedites U.S. Passports for people who are leaving the country very soon and need their passport processed within 1 to 3 days. This position would require you to pick up overnight packages at our UPS Store box, organize those passport applications that have arrived and get them assembled to be submitted, drive one mile to the U.S. Passport Agency in South Norwalk, and submit that day`s applications at 2:00 PM, and then pick up the prior day`s completed passports and ship them out at a FedEx/Kinko`s.
This job is an easy job as long as you are organized, detail oriented, and very dependable. The position requires you to arrive at the UPS Store at 360 CONNECTICUT AVE at 1:15 PM. Once there, you pick up any packages that have been overnighted and prepare them to be submitted to the government passport agency. Once the documents have been arranged, you drive a mile to the CT Passport Agency at 50 Washington St. There, the passport applications are submitted to the passport agency at 2:00 PM. Later in the afternoon, usually by 2:30 pm, the passports from the previous day are ready for pickup. The latest you would stay at the Passport Agency would be 4:30PM and that would be if we submitted a "SameDay" application which is supposed to be ready by 4:00PM. Once picked up, the passports are sent directly out to the customers via FedEx.
In order to be proficient at this job, you must have access to a computer, the internet, and a printer during the afternoon hours - access to a fax machine is also a plus. It`s important to be proficient with computers for this position. You also must have from 1:15 PM to 4:30PM free for most every business day. During the afternoon hours the fedex labels will need to be processed and printed out in order to get ready for that afternoon`s completed passports. The best person for this position is someone who enjoys being out and about during the day. It is absolutely critical that you are detail oriented, patient, and dependable. The government also requires that you are a natural born U.S. citizen and must be free of any criminal offenses. We are looking to fill this position by the last week of October.
