Prestigious media firm has an open position that will be responsible for the application development of a variety of e-commerce websites and will provide leadership and vision for the development team and its related business priorities.
Description:
• Build and lead a team of managers as well as Websphere Commerce and J2EE developers.
• Manage the development of project budgets, ROI, technology vision, and oversee resource scheduling and management to ensure on time and on budget project delivery.
• Manage various websites including maintenance and new development. Develop and oversee technical design and architecture approaches.
• Manage vendor relationships:
o Set clear, common understanding of scope of deliverables and related timelines.
• Interact with Finance to track detailed project financials against budget.
• Provide frequent updates to the business division leaders and executives.
Requirements:
• 3 years’ e-Commerce application development experience and a strong technical foundation.
• Experience supervising and managing application development teams.
• Proven relationship-building and significant staffing and budgeting experience.
• Be well-versed in the technologies chosen for developing web application solutions (e.g., J2EE applications, Websphere App Server, WebSphere Commerce, Interwoven TeamSite, GoogleWebToolKit, Endeca Search Engine , Ajax, EJB, Struts, MQ, LDAP, DB2, Oracle, SQL Server database, XML, Web Servicess, MQ, JMS, UNIX/LinuX).
• Expertise in designing and building applications for scalability and redundancy.
• BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
