Ensure the Department is efficient and effective in its use and
management of its properties as well as their acquisitions,
re-development and disposal.
Ensure the Department receives value for money for services purchased through tendering, negotiating and other contracts including service level agreements.
Ensure consistency of work and the application and development of quality systems in the preparation, operation and monitoring of contracts and service level agreements; this relates to internal and external services, construction-related projects, financial and budgetary matters and research projects.
Ensure that the Department has an up-to-date working knowledge of English Law, European Law, directives and circulars, British Standards and best practice, and apply these in the management of contracts and construction-related projects.
Provide high quality advice on all Business Services matters, including
the management of property and contracts.
