About the Company
Coda Resources, Ltd. (www.codaresources.com) is a 63 year old diversified company with three distinct business units. The first is a custom contract manufacturer and outsourcing company that provides overseas production and sourcing solutions to forward-thinking businesses. The second is Cambridge Resources (www.cambridgeresources.com), a manufacturer and distributor of niche industrial products and supplies. The third is a manufacturer and provider of retail supplies and services.
Coda services a global clientele of industrial, retail, and consumer product companies, from the Fortune 50 to small and mid-sized privately held organizations. Coda owns and operates a fully-enclosed manufacturing complex in China, and supports its sourcing and manufacturing activities with multiple offices in the U.S. and China. In China, Coda employs more than 1200 people. Coda is based in Brooklyn, NY, where it employs approximately 40 people.
Job Description: Product Management Associate
SUMMARY
We seek an intelligent, responsible, self-starter with excellent research, analytical, communication (written and verbal), and project management skills to join our team as we continue to expand into new markets, product lines, and geographies. The ideal candidate will quickly develop an understanding of one of Coda’s existing or emerging product lines, markets, and competition, and play a major role in the successful development and execution of a sales and marketing plan.
The Product Management Associate will work directly for a Business Unit Manager and assist in coordinating and overseeing the product development, packaging, sourcing, marketing, sales, and promotional activities for that Business Unit’s product line. This position will work closely with top management to develop, implement, and execute the strategies, tools, and processes necessary to position the product line and achieve profitable growth and success.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. In-depth understanding of the particular product line, markets, customers, and competition.
2. Assist the Business Unit Manager in developing the business plan for the product line, and interact with various internal departments, including Product Development and Sourcing, Marketing, and Engineering to achieve the targeted objectives.
3. Oversee and execute the development of the sales and marketing plan.
4. Represent Coda in dealings with suppliers, customers, prospects, and at industry events.
5. Ensure that the Business Unit adheres to financial projections and budgets.
6. Provide written reports and presentations to management.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
1. Bachelor`s Degree
2. Business development background and skills a strong plus.
3. Prior marketing or communications experience a strong plus.
COMPENSATION
Annual salary of $40,000-$50,000, commensurate with skills and experience.
Individual and company performance-based bonus.
Participation in company medical benefits plan.
