Field Service Engineer -Oxford
To support the increasing demands placed on the support team are looking for a well qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Field Service Engineer.
Experience*Qualifications:
2 years experience in an optical or electrical discipline and*or educated to a Degree level in a relevant subject.
Any experience of the following would be an advantage:
Electrical Experience - Wiring & trouble shooting
Automation Experience - Working with Robots (PRI * FANUC * GENMARK type) and * or stages (AEROTECH * ANORAD)
Laser Experience
Optics Experience
PLC Experience
Commitment, drive, enthusiasm, technical expertise and the ability to respond to demanding customer schedules are the key skills required.
The ideal candidate will have a head for problem solving and be comfortable with both optical and electrical systems. Good communication skills will also be essential when dealing with customers and a basic understanding of computer programming would be an advantage.
The role will primarily consist of:
· Troubleshooting and fault fixing in the shortest possible time
· Training end users on system operation and maintenance
· Assisting with the writing of Manuals, writing service reports to document the work done & problems solved
· A significant amount of travel and overseas and within the UK will be required
