The announcement text: Our client, a very reputable outsourcing company based in Birmingham, is currently seeking an experienced client facing Support Analyst for their Birmingham office. You will need to be a customer-focused person with a good general understanding of IT procedures, who is presentable and would work well within a busy office environment. The main focus of the vacancy is to provide first to third line support as well as systems management on site. Successful candidates will need to be clear and effective communicators, with strong interpersonal skills and a good client facing technique. A working knowledge of the following systems is essential: Windows 98 * 2000 * XP Professional * NT4, Windows 2000 active directory, MS Exchange 2000 * Outlook Client, and MS Office 2000. The role will normally be on desktop problems, but may also involve assisting in server, LAN or other Back Office issues under guidance from the Server team. The specific role responsibilities will include enabling the team to meet agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets; troubleshooting and diagnosis of predominately desktop related problems as reported by a call logging system; break*fix including liaison with customers and third parties to achieve problem resolution both on and off site; assistance with server tape back-up and data recovery when required. Proven leadership skills and knowledge of ITIL procedures would be beneficial but not essential. Please email your CV in the first instance and a member of the team will be in touch.
